Sustainability
OUR COMMITMENT
SUSTAINABILITY ISN'T A FEATURE.
IT'S THE FOUNDATION.
When Erik started KÖRPER, he made a decision: every material choice, every manufacturing partner, every shipping method would be evaluated not just for quality, but for its impact on the planet. Comfort shouldn't come at the earth's expense.
MATERIALS WITH PURPOSE
MicroModal Air is derived from Austrian beech trees grown in sustainably managed forests certified by the EU Ecolabel. Beech trees require no irrigation and regenerate naturally — no replanting needed. The closed-loop production process recovers 95% of the solvent used, making it one of the most eco-friendly fiber processes available.
Recycled Nylon in our sport line is spun from recovered fishing nets and ocean plastics collected off the coasts of Southeast Asia. Every pair of KÖRPER Sport diverts approximately 12 grams of plastic from marine ecosystems.
Organic Pima Cotton is GOTS-certified, grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers in Peru's Piura Valley, where farming families have cultivated cotton for generations.
RESPONSIBLE MANUFACTURING
Our production partners in Porto, Portugal operate under strict environmental and labor standards. We visit every factory, know every floor manager, and audit working conditions annually. Fair wages, reasonable hours, safe environments — these are non-negotiable.
PACKAGING
Every KÖRPER order ships in 100% recycled and recyclable packaging. No plastic bags, no tissue paper, no filler. Just your underwear, a card, and a mailer made from post-consumer waste. The soy-based ink on our packaging is biodegradable.
WHAT'S NEXT
We're not perfect, and we know it. We're currently working toward carbon-neutral shipping by 2027, exploring biodegradable elastane alternatives, and developing a take-back program where worn KÖRPER products are recycled into insulation material. Progress, not perfection.
